Biology
Biology was my hardest Standard Level class by far. The concept of biology causes a lot of interest in me and love all the way of how it works, that's why I decided to study Biotechnology Engineering. This class was really interesting and important to me, given that was my favorite subject and what really interests me in school. The class was extremely hard given that concepts had to be understood completely and comprehended for us as students to answer properly exams. Although this was painful and to study for this subject was very hard, biology is the subject that I like the most and really creates a lot of interest in me. The next pieces of evidence are the ones that I liked and interested me the most about this subject.

Internal Assessment
The Internal Assessment is the mandatory project that the IB requires from each subject. In this case, the assessment has to be an experiment regarding the subject of biology. To develop this experiment I had multiple ideas in mind. However, given that cells are something that really interests me I decided to work with them. Because I wanted to work with eukaryotic cells and humans weren't an option, I decided to work with onion cells. Onion cells by being plants cells are pretty solid and accessible to work with them. When having this planned, I decided to study the effect of ethanol on cell growth, utilizing mitotic index as my dependent variable. To develop this experiment the IB skill used was inquires. IA Peer Review
This work was very helpful to further develop my IA. The work consisted in changing documents with a partner and from this, help each other improve their IA by marking and suggesting. I had a much more complete IA than my partner, therefore it was helpful for him to see my IA and learn from it. As well, he made me sone grammar comments that were pretty useful to continue my IA write up. Given this, the IB skill applied to the peer review, was caring, to know more about this check the next presentation.
Bio Mock Exam
This exams were the last exams needed for the subject. There were two exams, one was multiple choice and the other involved much more complex questions. I'm proud of this exams given that my preparation for them was quite interesting. Because biology is a subject that I really enjoy, studying for this exams was really entertaining. Furthermore, I'm proud as well for my grade, I did a really well job in the matter and my grade was excellent. For me to have this results, I had to apply the IB skill of principled.
